To all our colleagues, partners, and customers

As we approach the end of another successful year, Marlowe Environmental Services would like to extend our warmest wishes to all our customers, suppliers, colleagues, and friends across the UK and Ireland.

The festive season offers a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate the incredible achievements made possible by the dedication of our teams and the trust placed in us by our clients. From advancing compliance and sustainability standards to supporting essential sectors in water, air, property compliance and environmental safety, 2025 has been a year of meaningful progress.

Stuart Bleazard Managing Director Marlowe Environmental ServicesMessage from Stuart Bleazard – Managing Director Marlowe Environmental Services

“I’ve been reflecting on what a landmark period this has been for Marlowe Environmental Services. For me personally, this year marked a significant milestone. Having spent 26 fantastic years at Mitie, I was given the opportunity to lead Marlowe Environmental Services as Managing Director. It has been a genuine pleasure to step into this role and lead such a talented team during one of the most transformative phases in our company’s history.”

Building a Leader in Facilities Compliance

“The most exciting aspect of this year has been the ongoing integration of our two great businesses. By bringing together the specialist technical expertise of Marlowe Environmental Services with the scale and strategic vision of Mitie, we are creating a true UK leader in facilities compliance.”

2025 Highlights & Wins

“Beyond the integration, our day-to-day performance has been exceptional. We continue to secure and manage critical contracts across an incredibly diverse landscape – protecting everything from major banking hubs and prestigious universities to global sporting venues, iconic London theatres, and even specialised environments like crocodile enclosures.”

Some stand-out moments from the year include:

  • Safety Award Recognition – We are thrilled to have achieved our fourth consecutive RoSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety.
  • Strategic Growth – The acquisition and integration of the SludgeTek business, has bolstered our wastewater and rental solution capabilities.
  • Long Service Awards – We honoured our team mates who have been with the business for over 25 years with a special treat back in the summer.
  • It was a huge privilege to announce our STARS awards for 2025. We are excited to welcome our winners to the Shard for a special presentation of their awards.
  • At The Heart of Innovation – Highly commended for sustainable innovation technology regarding water treatment by a major UK construction and property group.
  • Water Hygiene & Treatment – We have proudly secured a new contract  working alongside our Mitie colleagues in 2025 to provide a dedicated Project Manager who is focused on reducing bacterial risk for the University College Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. This project is a double win – it enhances safety for patients and staff in a critical healthcare setting, while providing a fantastic career development opportunity for one of our Graduate Account Managers, who is already receiving exceptional feedback.
  • Water Hygiene & Treatment – We secured two orders for filter pots at a flagship banking facility in Canary Wharf following the successful trial of the technology. The solution supported system cleaning after the client had previously been let down by another contractor. These orders were delivered through a consultative partnership and form part of a wider, long-term approach to optimising the efficiency of closed systems across the estate.
  • We carried out more than 270,000 water hygiene and treatment tasks – reducing risk for our clients and the public
  • Nationwide Coverage – Delivered services to clients from the Shetlands to Jersey, spanning the entire UK and Ireland
  • UKAS Accredited Sampling – Completed over 200,000 water samples across the UK
  • Environmental Engineering – Secured a Utilities contract, trial for novel technology to remove nutrients from wastewater prior to discharge.
  • Environmental Engineering (Group Technical) – Delivered 264 training days across 27 courses, focused on internal training for our water teams, strengthening standards, upskilling our people, and ensuring our customers benefit from the highest levels of knowledge and support.
  • Risk and Compliance – Completed a three-month demolition survey at a former chemical plant in Grangemouth, which required an eight-month mobilisation period.
  • Training – We trained more than 15,000 people this year, including our own internal operative teams across Marlowe and Mitie. All training is delivered to the highest standards and aligned with the requirements of recognised awarding bodies such as City & Guilds, IOSH, UKATA, and many others.
  • Air – Completed kitchen extract cleaning at over 1,900 sites and fire damper testing at more than 1,400 buildings in 2025.

Looking Ahead

“While we have achieved a great deal, the journey is just beginning. As we head into the festive period and into the new year, our focus remains on being the unrivalled leader in environmental compliance.

I want to thank every one of you for your hard work, your resilience during this period of change, and your commitment to keeping our customers safe every day. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve built so far, and I can’t wait to see what we achieve together in 2026.

Wishing you and your families a restful break and a very Happy New Year.”
