We are delighted to welcome Gill Jackson to the business as our new Head of People. Bringing with her almost 30 years of HR and people management experience, Gill joins the team at an exciting stage of growth and transformation for Marlowe Environmental Services.
Gill’s career has spanned a variety of industries, giving her a wealth of experience in supporting people, business growth, and organisational change. She began her HR journey with a small Italian business importing children’s bikes before spending the next decade with a major Danish flavour and ingredients company operating across multiple UK sites.
From there, Gill moved into a completely different environment, supporting Sales & Marketing for Avon for five years, before joining VSG in 2015, part of Compass Group at the time. Following Mitie’s acquisition of VSG in 2018, Gill continued her career supporting the Fire & Security business alongside Christian Watts, while also providing HR support across the Transport & Aviation division and several Security business areas, including head office operations in Northampton under Stuart Bleazard.
Having already spent the last seven months supporting the Marlowe integration, Gill is no stranger to the business and its people.
Speaking about her new role, Gill said:
“I have spent the last 7 months supporting the Marlowe integration, so when the prospect came up to join the Marlowe Environmental Services & Stuart Bleazard full time, I was thrilled to support a new business area and be part of the exciting growth opportunity. The next 5 years are going to be exciting and challenging at the same time for us to embrace AI and technology for both people and business transformation.”
Outside of work, Gill enjoys spending time with her family, including caring for her mum and making the most of time with her nine grandchildren, something that keeps her just as busy outside of work as she is within it!
As Marlowe Environmental Services continues to grow across the UK and Ireland, Gill’s experience, leadership, and passion for people will play an important role in shaping the future of our teams and supporting the business through its next phase of development.
