HX Training, Marlowe Environmental Service’s training division, partnered with Whyte and Mackay Ltd to provide efficient, formal, accredited training. Whyte and Mackay Ltd hold an enviable position globally, as a provider of Scotch whisky under various labels – whether they be their own, private, or branded. Boasting four malt distilleries, as well as a grain Distillery and being the sole grain distillery in the Scottish Highlands, Whyte and Mackay Ltd engages in the production, blending, bottling, and packaging of Scotch whisky and assorted spirits for clientele across the globe.
Challenge
In September 2022, Yasmeen Bashir, our Business Development Manager, made contact with Whyte & Mackay to help identify compliance requirements for staff at their 5 distilleries located in and around Scotland. It became evident that they were actively looking for a supplier to provide formal accredited training. This was an urgent requirement as training was overdue following the pandemic. After discussions with Yasmeen, the H&S Administrator and Manager of Whyte & Mackay took swift action to address the compliance requirements. Subsequently, the Whyte & Mackay team expedited training for over 100 staff members who required our services.
Solution
HX Training exerted considerable effort to secure training venues either in close proximity to the client’s location, on -site or via live virtual events, tailored to the specific course needs of the Whyte & Mackay staff. The management team played a pivotal role in aligning these efforts with the company’s objectives, actively soliciting feedback from participants to ensure their comprehension of relevant legislation pertaining to their roles.
Furthermore, we diligently ensured that certifications were dispatched promptly and in strict adherence to the high standards stipulated by City & Guilds for accreditation. Our training team remained readily available to offer guidance and support in addition to the training they provided, should any queries arise.
