Background

A large Hospitality operator client, based in the UK, operating holiday parks across rural and coastal locations, provides retreats for millions of holidaymakers and supports thousands of holiday home owners nationwide.

Challenge

The hospitality operator approached our training division, HX Training initially for legionella training. Following positive feedback from these courses, the client then looked to utilise HX Training for further on-site requirements.

One requirement which was identified was upskilling the team, in order for them to sign off their own plumbing work. This would essentially be for installing plumbing systems into their caravans. Additionally, support was needed at 10 different sites right across the country.

Solution

HX Training have provided the client with 11 onsite courses to date in relation to Groundworker Regulations Training (W11) all delivered by Rob Griffiths one of our expert trainers. Of this, 108 delegates have been trained covering the areas of: Norfolk, Kent, Mid Glamorgan, Essex, Cornwall, Dorset, Lincolnshire, Clitheroe & Dumfries. On top of this, HX Training have also arranged 3 dedicated virtual Legionella Responsible Person courses (W02) of which 44 delegates attended with another 2 courses scheduled in.

Rob mentioned that they had a great laugh on each of the courses and it was very fulfilling for all parties.

Value Added

The hospitality operator is now in a position to approach the national scheme for water (Water Regs UK) to self-certify their own work. This will have a significant positive impact on operations and will not only reduce outsourcing costs, but it will also help with efficiency within the team.
